A study commissioned by the Human Rights Commission has reportedly found that the Government may be in breach of international conventions by failing to make provisions for unmarried couples.

Reports this morning said the study had concluded that Ireland may be in breach of the European Convention on Human Rights by treating married couples differently to unmarried couples.
