Woman, 79, dies in lorry collision

An elderly woman was knocked down and killed by an articulated lorry in Dublin’s north inner city today.

The 79-year-old was crossing the North Circular road near St Peter’s Church in Phibsboro at 12.40pm when she was struck by the truck. She was taken to the Mater Hospital and confirmed dead.
