A study into the controversial Corrib gas pipeline has concluded that the structure will pose no safety threat as long as the pumping pressure is limited.

In a report published today, British consultants Advantica say pressures in the pipeline should be limited to 144 bar, less then half the level that the structure is designed to withstand.
