Bishop of Limerick takes temporary sick leave

The Bishop of Limerick is taking temporary sick leave.

A statement from the diocese has confirmed that Bishop Donal Murray will be stepping aside from his duties for a short break.

The diocese was recently rocked by the suicide of Peter McCloskey, a Limerick man who claimed he was sexually abused by a priest based in the diocese more than 20 years ago.
