Gardaí have made a fresh appeal for information about the murder of a 24-year-old man in Dublin earlier this week.

Gerard Goulding, an unemployed father-of-one, was shot dead in the Donaghmede area on Monday night.

Gardaí say they are particularly interested in speaking to taxi or hackney drivers who may have picked up or dropped off a passenger in the St Donagh Road or Holywell Crescent areas between 10pm and midnight.

The main suspect in the killing was wearing a white tracksuit top and was seen running from the area shortly after 11pm.
