O’Hare granted extended period of temporary release
The Prison Service has confirmed that former INLA leader Dessie O'Hare has been granted an extended period of temporary release.
Mr O'Hare, also known as the Border Fox, was released on a temporary basis before Easter.
He must report back to Castlerea prison in a few weeks, when his release is expected to be extended again provided he abides by certain conditions.
Mr O'Hare is serving a 40-year sentence for kidnapping Dublin dentist John O'Grady in 1987 and cutting off two of his fingers.
