Committee seeks to clarify costs with Curtin lawyers
The Oireachtas committee investigating the behaviour of Circuit Court Judge Brian Curtin is to meet in private session later today.
Judge Curtin's lawyers are due to appear before the body as it seeks to clarify the situation surrounding the costs of the inquiry.
The committee's work is currently being delayed by arguments over who should pay for two independent computer experts to examine the judge's computer.
As a result of these arguments, the computer remains in the custody of the Gardaí, almost seven weeks after the Supreme Court ruled that it should be handed over to the committee.
