Gardaí seek public’s help in Waterford murder case
Gardaí in Waterford have appealed for information from the public in relation to the murder of James Purcell last week.
The 60-year-old was found dead in his flat on Henrietta Street last Friday evening.
Gardaí say he had injuries on his neck and throat and may have been dead for some time. A weapon was found at the scene, but gardaí have not disclosed what type of weapon it was.
Detectives investigating the case say they want to speak to anyone who may have seen the victim in the last few weeks.
