Midlands gardaí involved in high speed chase

Gardaí in the midlands have been involved in a high-speed car chase following what is understood to be a bungled raid in County Roscommon.

The attempted raid is thought to have taken place at premises near Strokestown, and gardaí have pursued the raiders through County Roscommon and County Longford.

The raiders are believed to have been in a white saloon car, and almost knocked down a pedestrian when passing through the town of Lanesboro in County Longford.
