Hanafin to press ahead with school inspection reports
Education Minister Mary Hanafin is reportedly planning to press ahead with the publication of controversial school inspection reports.
Earlier this week, the Irish National Teachers Organisation voted not to cooperate with the reports in a move that could see the Government withholding pay rises due to primary teachers under the Sustaining Progress deal.
The Teachers Union of Ireland and the Association of Secondary Teachers are also opposed to their publication, but have not so far refused to cooperate.
Reports this morning said Ms Hanafin was determined to face down opposition and was planning to publish the first tranche of reports on the internet in June.
