Anti-social behaviour 'a growing problem'
The issue of anti-social behaviour is at the top of the agenda at an annual conference of city and county councillors today.
Speaking at the meeting in Kilkenny today, Cllr William Ireland, the chairman of the Local Authority Members Association, said the problem was growing nationwide.
He said anti-social behaviour was afflicting both council estates and private estates and needed to be tackled as a matter or urgency
"It's raising its head in every local authority at the moment. It's on the agenda at nearly every meeting we go to now," he said.
The Minister for Local Government Dick Roche is due to address the LAMA conference later today.
