A man was rescued today as police responded to a suspicious fire at a house in a seaside resort in Northern Ireland.

A man was rescued today as police responded to a suspicious fire at a house in a seaside resort in Northern Ireland.

Three people were arrested – two men and a woman – after the blaze in Dufferin Avenue in Bangor at around 1.45am.

No-one was injured during the fire and rescue and nobody else was in the house at the time.

Police in Bangor urged members of the public to help their investigation.
