Truckers are threatening to take legal action to stop Dublin City Council from banning heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) from the streets of the city centre.

The threat follows a decision by councillors last night to ban all trucks with five axles or more from entering the area between the two canals from the hours of 7am and 7pm.
