Irish judges will be receiving a more simple address in the future after a courts rules committee voted to dispense with the British titles which have been used in Irish courtrooms since the 1100s.

Irish judges will be receiving a more simple address in the future after a courts rules committee voted to dispense with the British titles which have been used in Irish courtrooms since the 1100s.

Instead of being referred to as "your honour" and "your worship", they will now be known as "judge".
