The Environmental Protection Agency has refused permission for the construction of a major landfill facility at the site of a massive illegal dump uncovered in Co Wicklow a number of years ago.

Brownfield Restoration Ltd wanted to transform the illegal dump at Whitestown Lower into a landfill.
