Elderly woman dies after crash with pole

An 83-year-old woman has died after the car she was driving hit a pole in the south of Dublin yesterday.

The accident happened at around lunchtime on the Upper Churchtown Road in Rathfarnam.

Gardaí are withholding the dead woman's name until all next of kin are informed.
