Standard parking fines to double from Monday

Standard parking fines around the country are reportedly set to double from next Monday under a new directive issued by the Department of Transport.

Reports this morning said the standard fine of €19 would be increasing to €40, with the fine for illegally parking in a disabled spot increasing more than four-fold to €80.
