Pollution levels in smoking bars highlighted
St Patrick’s Day revellers in London and Belfast will be exposed to 14 times more pollution in Irish themed bars than they would if they were drinking in pubs in the Republic, a survey claimed today.
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health said a study of bars in Europe, north America, Asia and Australia showed indoor pollution in Dublin, Cork and Galway bars was 91% lower than in Irish themed bars in European cities which had yet to implement smoking bans.
