Gardaí release man arrested over Rachel O’Reilly murder
Gardaí have released the man arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of Rachel O'Reilly in north Co Dublin 18 months ago.
The 33-year-old man was arrested in Dublin yesterday and taken to Drogheda Garda Station for questioning.
A 37-year-old woman who was also arrested in the capital as part of the investigation remains in garda custody this morning.
Both had been arrested previously in connection with Ms O'Reilly's murder before being released without charge.
Yesterday's development is believed to have been prompted by new evidence about the movements of the chief suspect in the killing.
Ms O'Reilly, a 30-year-old mother-of-two, was found beaten to death at her home in the village of Naul in October 2004.
