Boaters warned to beware of spring tides this weekend

Boaters, fishermen and divers have been warned to beware of spring tides caused by a full moon tonight.

Anyone taking to the sea over the bank-holiday weekend is being asked to take account of the tidal changes when planning their passage.

The Irish Water Safety Association says people walking by the seaside should make sure they don't get stranded.
