A Polish company which was paying its workers below the minimum wage on the ESB Moneypoint power station project has agreed to compensate them, it emerged tonight.

ZRE Katowicz (Ireland) Construction Limited was paying its 70 workers as little as €5.20 an hour for their work on refurbishing the power station in County Clare.
