The Irish National Teachers Organisation has rejected the findings of a report into the recent controversy at Marino Institute of Education in Dublin.

The Irish National Teachers Organisation has rejected the findings of a report into the recent controversy at Marino Institute of Education in Dublin.

The report, published yesterday, said there was no evidence of bullying and financial impropriety by management at the teacher training facility, which is run by the Christian Brothers.

It criticises the Department of Education, the media and the INTO, which is accused of exacerbating the situation by providing "misguided" support to critics of the institute.

Responding to the accusation this morning, INTO general secretary John Carr said the report was "biased, inaccurate and misleading".
