DUP tables House of Commons motion on Dublin riots

The Democratic Unionist Party has tabled a motion in the British parliament condemning Saturday's rioting in Dublin.

Party spokesman Gregory Campbell said the move would give British MPs the opportunity to express disgust at the treatment afforded to a peaceful loyalist parade and rally.

The riots broke out when a group of protestors tried to prevent the Love Ulster march from taking place on O'Connell Street.

Mr Campbell's motion calls on London to make representations to the Irish Government to ensure those responsible for such "fascist behaviour" are brought to justice.
