Gardaí examining CCTV footage of Dublin rioters
Gardaí are examining CCTV footage from locations throughout Dublin in an effort to catch more of the people involved in Saturday's riots in the city centre.
Forty-two people were arrested during scenes of mayhem that accompanied republican protests against a planned loyalist march along O'Connell Street.
A mob of youths attacked gardaí and blocked the street with building-site debris, forcing the cancellation of the contentious march.
Fourteen people, including six gardaí and RTE reporter Charlie Bird, were injured during the violence.
The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and Justice Minister Michael McDowell have both accused dissident republicans of orchestrating the riot.
Republican Sinn Féin, which had organised the protest against the march, has denied that any of its members were involved.
