UCC gallery wins UK Civic Trust Award
The Lewis Glucksman gallery on the grounds of University College Cork is being presented with a prestigious European architecture award.
The post-modern structure has won the UK Civic Trust Award, a Europe-wide design competition.
The gallery was shortlisted for one of the most well-known architecture awards, the Stirling Prize last year, but failed to win.
The exhibition centre also won the Irish Architecture Award last year.
