Gardaí investigating the deaths of a woman and her two sons in Dublin are reportedly treating the case as a murder-suicide.

Forty-one-year-old Mary Keegan and her sons Glen (10) and Andrew (6) were found dead in the kitchen of their home at Killakee Walk in Firhouse shortly before noon yesterday.

Reports this morning said all three had died of knife wounds and gardaí believe Mrs Keegan killed the two boys before taking her own life.

They believe the tragedy took place on Saturday, while the boys' father was on a business trip in the United States.

He only returned home yesterday and is currently being comforted by family and friends.
