Two charged over cocaine seizure

Customs officers today seized four kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of €280,000 at Dublin Airport.

A 32-year-old Dutchman and a 36-year-old Englishman were charged in connection with the seizure after officers discovered the drug concealed in the baggage of one of the men.

The drugs had arrived from Sao Paolo, Brazil via Amsterdam.

The men were handed over to the Garda Drug Unit in Santry and later appeared in court, a Customs spokesman added.
