Nenagh hospital suspends admissions after bug outbreak
Nenagh General Hospital in Co Tipperary has suspended all admissions following an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.
Hospital sources say four cases of the virus have been confirmed in recent days, while 14 other patients are also exhibiting symptoms.
The hospital has responded by suspending admissions, but the accident and emergency unit will continue to function, with emergency cases being stabilised and transferred to other hospitals in the region.
Members of the public, meanwhile, are being urged not to visit any patients at the hospital.
