Pair held over Joel death have detention periods extended

Two people being questioned in connection with the death of Evelyn Joel have had their periods of detention extended.

Two people being questioned in connection with the death of Evelyn Joel have had their periods of detention extended.

The pair from Enniscorthy were arrested by detectives investigating the 59-year-old's death in hospital earlier this month.

She had suffered from multiple sclerosis, weighed four stone and had been living in her daughter's house.

The two can be held for up to twelve hours without charge.
