Nurseries group seeks more monitoring of childcare

The National Children's Nurseries Association is calling for improved monitoring of childcare services following revelations about widespread breaches of safety regulations in such facilities.

Reports this morning said inspections in the west of the country found that just 21 of 160 childcare facilities were complying with statutory regulations.
