59-year-old man killed in Cork road accident

A 59-year-old man has died following a collision between two vehicles in Carrigaline, Co Cork, yesterday evening.

The man was the driver of a car that collided with a truck at Carr's Hill, on the road to Cork city, just before 5pm.

He died later in hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.

Gardaí are withholding his name until all next of kin are informed.
