Former LVF gun-runner killed in Glasgow

A man who was convicted of gun-running for the LVF in 1995 has been killed in what police are describing as a "frenzied attack" in Glasgow.

Thirty-eight-year-old Lindsay Robb was attacked at about 5.30pm yesterday in the Ruchazie area of the city.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the assault.

Robb was jailed for 10 years for involvement in a gun smuggling plot, but released in 1999 under the Good Friday Agreement.
