Travellers are being urged to leave plenty of extra time at airports today as thousands return home following the Christmas break.

Today is the busiest day of the post-Christmas period at all of Ireland's main airports.

Passengers are being urged to arrive at check-in at least 90 minutes before their flight departs and to make sure they have no sharp objects in their hand luggage to ensure they pass through security more efficiently.
