FG proposes bill to regulate apartment management firms

Fine Gael is planning to publish a private members' bill in the new year to regulate the companies that manage Irish apartment complexes.

Announcing the move today, party spokesman Fergus O'Dowd said there was currently no legislation to govern these companies, leaving thousands of apartment dwellers without any official state protection.
