Taoiseach to strengthen ties with different religions

Bertie Ahern has told the Dáil that formal dialogue between the Government and churches will begin in the New Year.

It follows a move by the Department of the Taoiseach to initiate contact with religious representative bodies, due to Ireland's growing number of faiths.
