Diver's funeral takes place in Wexford

Hundreds of mourners have gathered at the funeral of a diver who drowned off Co Wexford.

Billy O'Connor disappeared when trying to locate the body of the skipper of doomed trawler Rising Sun.

The vessel remains on the seabed but no trace of Pat Colfer's body has been found since it sunk a fortnight ago.

Navy divers have continued the recovery operation.

Fr Roger O'Neill paid tribute to the diver's heroic efforts in New Ross this afternoon, saying he was a man who reached out to others every day.
