A 17-year-old boy has been killed in a head-on crash in Meath.

A 17-year-old boy has been killed in a head-on crash in Meath.

The teenager was driving a car which collided with another at Begree in Kilbride at 8am yesterday.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the other car was also taken to hospital for treatment.

The death brings the number of people killed on the roads this year to 371.
