Three quizzed in relation to abduction and assault
Three men were arrested today by police who suspect them of abducting a man from a Co Antrim village pub at the weekend and assaulting him.
The Police Service said they understood a man was forcibly taken from a bar at Bridge Street in Dunloy at lunchtime yesterday.
Following police inquiries the man was later located at premises some 10 miles away in Ballymoney and taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokeswoman said there had ruled out a sectarian motive for the incident.
The Dunloy area was busy at the time and police have appealed for witnesses to the abduction to contact them.
They said they particularly wanted to hear from anyone who saw a green Volvo, registration M87VUM in either Dunloy or Ballymoney on Sunday to contact them.
