Man killed in Kerry car crash

A man was killed in a car crash in Kerry today.

The man was driving on the Tralee to Ardfert Road at 6.20am when the accident happened.

A Garda spokesman said a passenger in the car sustained injuries and was taken to Kerry Regional hospital.

The scene of the accident at Caherslee has been preserved for technical examination. The road has been closed and diversions are in place.
