A 28-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after an assault in the Clondalkin area of Dublin.

A 28-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after an assault in the Clondalkin area of Dublin.

The incident happened at 8.15pm last night at the junction of the New Nangor Road and the Fonthill road.

The victim is being treated in Tallaght hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin garda station at 01- 6667600.
