Meath crash claims second life this weekend

A man in his 30s has been killed in a road accident south of Ashbourne in Co Meath.

The crash happened shortly after 930am two miles south of Ashbourne at the White Tree Lane junction with the N2.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

One other person was injured and has been taken to Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

It was the second fatal accident overnight. An 18-year-old was killed in a single car crash in Co Mayo.
