Clare murder victim named

Gardaí have released the name of a man found shot dead in Co Clare yesterday morning.

The victim was 25-year-old David Nunan from O’Malley Park in Limerick city.

The results of a post mortem carried out on his remains are due to be released later today.

It is understood the murder victim was shot in the back before his body was dumped in a laneway in the village of Parteen.

David Nunan had just recently been released from prison having served a sentence for firearms offences.
