Seven arrests made in Mayo murder case

Seven people have been arrested in counties Galway and Mayo as part of an on-going investigation into the murder of a pensioner seven years ago.

Eighty-three-year old Edward Fitzmaurice was found dead in his house in Bellaghy, in Charlestown, Co Mayo in May 1998.

The arrested people are being held in garda stations in Galway, Ballina, Swinford and Westport.
