The Taoiseach and British Prime Minister held talks this afternoon for the first time since the IRA decommissioned its arsenal.

Speaking afterwards, Bertie Ahern said the governments were determined to make as much progress as possible this side of Christmas, so they could work towards devolution some time next year.
