Man escapes injury in gun attack on Down house
A man has narrowly escaped injury in a gun attack at his home in Downpatrick, Co Down.
Police said the man was answering a knock at his front door in the Quoile Brae area at around 9am when he noticed the caller was wearing a crash helmet and armed with a handgun.
He then dived for cover while the attacker fired three shots into the house.
The PSNI said it had yet to establish a motive for the attack, but it is not believed to be sectarian.
