Rioters attack police in Belfast

Police came under attack from rioters in west Belfast tonight.

Petrol bombs, stones and other missiles were hurled at officers in the Ballygomartin Road area, said a police spokesman.

At least one person was arrested.

The trouble involved a crowd of between 70 and 100 people.

There were no immediate reports of injuries among the police ranks.
