New campaign urges children to eat more fruit and veg

An Bord Bia has launched a €1.2m campaign to persuade schoolchildren to eat more fruit and vegetables.

The organisation said the Food Dudes initiative would see fruit and vegetables being brought into Irish schools in an effort to get children to taste and enjoy them.

Pupils will also be shown videos featuring "peer models" promoting the consumption of fruit and vegetables.
