Teachers seek greater say in educational decisions

Ireland's three teachers' unions have called for their members to be given a greater say in the educational decisions that affect schoolchildren and young people.

In a joint statement to mark World Teachers Day today, the ASTI, INTO and TUI said the role of teachers had expanded greatly over the past 20 years or so.
