PDFORRA seeks increase in Irish military spending

The organisation representing members of the Irish Defence Forces wants the Government to increase Ireland's military spending.

PDFORRA has claimed that future overseas operations by the Irish military could be in jeopardy due to inadequate funding and resources.

The group claims the proportion of GDP spent on the Irish military has fallen by 50% since the mid-1990s, leaving Ireland at the bottom of the EU spending league.
