Man dies in house fire

A man has perished in a house fire in Co Tipperary. According to Gardaí the victim was in his 30s.

The blaze broke out around 6:00am at a house on Heywood Close in Clonmel.

Gardai cannot confirm whether anyone else was in the house at the time the fire started.

The scene has been preserved and a technical examination will be carried out later to try to establish the cause of the fire.
